The Red Rose

NOTE: I WROTE THIS BEFORE I GOT LAID OFF FROM MY JOB, BUT WANTED TO POINT OUT THAT I GOT LAID OFF 10 DAYS AFTER WRITING THE FOLLOWING NOTE IN A NOTEBOOK, ON THE 10TH DAY OF THE 10TH MONTH. THIS IS WHAT I WROTE: By the end of the year, I intend to double my income. Doubling my income in my current job would not be probable by the end of the year, but the Universe opened up this area of my life to take this opportunity and make it happen. I have been visualizing amazing things for my life and know there is a reason for everything. I am truly grateful for this opportunity to fulfill those dreams!

The Red Rose

After reading the Secret and watching the movie, I decided to take the visualization challenge and start small like the feather example in the book.

For a few months, I visualized a beautiful red rose whenever I could. I visualized the delicate petals, touching my lips to the soft velvet, smelling its rich floral scent and admiring its deep ruby red brilliance. While doing this I began visualizing the life I wanted as far as a career, finances, friends and love. I believed I actually had in my possession the red rose and with that I began believing the life I desired, I already had. I knew all things were possible and knew as I believed, it shall be.

As far as my career went, I was paid on a straight commission basis, so therefore, always on edge and working long hours. I was somewhat successful, but knew there had to be a better way. Last summer I had an opportunity to visit a friend and asked if the company he was working for was hiring. He replied, “No, but will keep me in mind should anything surface”. The very next day, he was asked if he knew of someone who met a certain criteria for a job opening. He told him that he did. I sent my resume in and about a week later got a phone call. We talked briefly on the phone and was told that they would like to fly me there for an interview for consideration of the job. I said great!
Months passed and I began to think the position was filled. All along I was visualizing the red rose and a better life. I figured since that position was probably filled at this point, it wasn’t meant to be and there would be another opportunity for me. After all, I was experiencing the life I was meant to be in already.

A Saturday in early November, I was at my employer’s holiday party and there was a magician there they flew out from Las Vegas for the entertainment. The magician had me come on stage to “help” with his tricks. He was doing all types of the usual tricks – cards, coins, etc. He then proceed to make a flower from a white paper napkin. He took that flower and (somehow) caught it on fire, put the fire out and presented me (you guessed it) with a red rose. It was a silk, but very much a beautiful red rose. I didn’t feel shocked or I wasn’t surprised, but it was as if the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I felt a warm glow within me. I knew at that point, I would get a call very soon on that job.

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on the Monday after the Saturday party, I received a phone call asking for me to fly out for an interview on Thursday of that same week. Of course I did. I met with them at lunch on Thursday, and they offered me a job right on the spot. I told them the only “baggage” I had regarding the move was to sell my house. I ended up selling my house without even putting it on the market. The entire process had no obstacles and the pavement was smooth the entire journey.

I cherish that silk red rose and keep it with me all the time. My life is very blessed and my gratitude is large. That warm feeling I felt when the red rose was presented to me has never left me. Living the LOA has manifested other visions, soon to be reality. I believe the best is yet to be and as you believe, it shall be.

P.S. Did I mention my new job was in Las Vegas? (The same place where that magician who presented the rose to me was from)…. Life is great, isn’t it?????
